• Starts Metal Scraps Venture with Partnership with SPA & ARC COMBINE in Basin Road, Ernakulam, Cochin.

• Moves to Broadway, Ernakulam, Cochin with the same combine starting Vessels Section.

• Vessels Division was taken over for ourselves by dissolving the Partnership with SPA & ARC COMBINE

• His Highness Maharaja of Cochin graciously conferred NATURALISATION CERTIFICATE AS CITIZEN OF COCHIN.

• Kamani Metals and Alloys Sole Distributorship for 3 States Kerala, Tamilnadu and Andhra with a commitment of 100 Tons a month open price basis.

• Set up own Re- rolling mills un Thammanam, Cochin.

• Visited USA and UK on an invitation from USAID of America and BRITISH COUNCIL OF UK for visiting Nonferrous Metals Plants

• Doyen AKK breaths his last

• Set up Hollow-Wares Division in Kathrikkadavu

• Set up Modern Castings and alloys Division in Velampalayam

• Attended World Trade Fair in Japan. Visited Bangkok and Japan to Study the calots technology with Toshiba’s technology partners in US and Japan.
  Proudly becomes the first unit in India substituting import of calots for Dry Cell Batteries

• Visits the Middle East under an ECGC sponsored programme.

• Starts supplies to Toshiba Anand Batteries Ltd Zinc calots of world class quality

• Becomes Consultants to Penang Based Stainless Steel Unit in Household Sector

• Govt. of India confers recognition as self made industrialist and the Award is handed over by the Vice President Honorable Shri. B.D. Jatti.

• Grabs contract to supplies to Geep Batteries Ltd.
